1. 中文課抽離式小組教學

以抽離式小組教授非華語學生中文,能針對個別程度調整教學,創造安全的練習環境,大幅增加學生練習口語的機會,有效提升語言能力與學習自信。

Pull-out small group teaching for Chinese lessons

Using a pull-out small group approach to teach Chinese to non-Chinese speaking students allows for instruction tailored to individual proficiency levels, creates a safe practice environment, significantly increases opportunities for speaking, and effectively enhances both language skills and learning confidence.

2. 課內支援老師協作教學

在課堂上為學生提供即時指導
安排支援老師進行課內支援,能即時協助非華語學生理解課程內容與任務,並提供個別化指導。此方式有助學生在真實學習情境中同步進步,並維持其課堂參與感與歸屬感。

In-class support through co-teaching

Provide instant guidance to students in the classroom.
Having support teachers to provide in-class assistance can offer immediate help for non-Chinese speaking students in understanding lesson content and tasks, along with personalized guidance. This approach helps students progress alongside their peers in an authentic learning environment while maintaining their sense of classroom participation and belonging.

3. 每天課後中文補習/功輔

提供每天分級課後中文輔導,能持續鞏固非華語學生的課堂所學,針對個別難點加強練習,有效提升語言基礎與學業自信;亦能跟進學生當天功課,協助學生即日完成家課。

Daily after-school Chinese tutoring/homework support

Providing daily after-school Chinese tutoring at graded levels can consistently reinforce classroom learning for non-Chinese speaking students. It targets individual difficulties—such as vocabulary and grammar—for intensive practice, effectively strengthening language foundations and academic confidence. This approach also ensures timely completion of homework through guided support.

為非華語學生家長設立WhatsApp專線,能即時按需要以他們熟悉的語言解答疑問,大幅降低溝通門檻。此舉不僅能消除家長的焦慮,促進家校協作,更能幫助家長更好地理解並支援子女的學習需求,形成教育合力。

WhatsApp helpline and school English notices

Establishing a WhatsApp hotline for parents of non-Chinese speaking students allows for immediate responses in their preferred language, significantly reducing communication barriers. This approach not only alleviates parental anxiety and promotes home-school collaboration but also helps parents better understand and support their children’s learning needs, creating a synergistic educational effort.

7. 假期中文補習班

於學校長假期安排中文補習班,一方面能善用空間針對學生的學習難點,提供加強練習;另方面能指導他們完成假期內比較艱深的功課。

Holiday remedial classes

Organizing Chinese tutoring during school holidays allows for targeted reinforcement of students’ learning challenges and provides guidance to help them complete difficult holiday assignments.

探究式學習 Inquiry-based Learning (IBL)

探究式學習是一種以學生為中心的教學法,強調學生透過主動提問來建構知識及解決問題,而非僅僅被動接收資訊。

Inquiry-based learning is a student-centered teaching method that emphasizes students constructing knowledge and solving problems by actively asking questions, rather than simply passively receiving information.

本校運用「推廣自主語文學習」津貼,聘請具有IB教學經驗的專家,到校與我們的老師共同研發相關課程。

Our school uses the “One-off Grant for Promotion of Self-directed Language Learning” grant to hire experts with IB teaching experience to come to the school and work with our teachers to develop related courses..

Purpose

To strengthen the connection between the school and parents and help Primary One students adapt to primary school life as early as possible.

Primary One Orientation

(I) Primary One Orientation and Parent Talk

June 13, 2026 (Saturday)

Time and Location: 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at our school

Notes:

  • Parents are requested to bring their Primary One students to attend.
  • Students may wear casual clothing.
Primary One Orientation Day

(II) Primary One Orientation Day and Parent Talk

August 22, 2026 (Saturday)

Time and Location: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at our school

Notes:

  • Parents are requested to bring their Primary One students to attend.
  • Students must wear their school uniform and do not need to bring school bags to school.
Orientation Program

(III) Orientation Program for Primary One Students

August 26-28, 2026 (Wednesday-Friday)

Time and Location: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at our school

Notes:

  • All Primary One students must attend.
  • Students must wear their school uniform and bring stationery (pencils, erasers, rulers, and chalk), snacks (in food containers), and a water bottle to school.
Parent-Teacher Meeting

(IV) Parent-Teacher Meeting for Primary One Students

September 1, 2, and 3, 2026 (Tuesday-Thursday)

Time and Location: 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at our school auditorium

Notes:

  • Parents are requested to accompany their children to school and remain at school for the parent-teacher meeting.
  • Students must attend school on time on that day.
